Turbo Charged Engine: For 2004, all Korvan 3200 series harvesters will have turbo charged John Deere 4045T 4.5L engines for improved harvester performance. Also new on all 2004 Korvan 3200 series harvesters is a fold-away fan system for easier access to kicker belts. Korvan has improved the best cleaning system on the market by allowing fans to reach higher speeds for more versatility.

Korvan Orbirotor: The Korvan 3216 is the only harvester available with Korvan’s Orbirotor (rotary) picking system. These free wheeling drums with fingerlike rods (see photo on the left) penetrate in to the fruiting zone and shake the vine. It is the gentlest system on the market. The Orbirotor removes fruit with very little cane damage and almost no M.O.G. The integrity of the fruit is maintained, and with the Korvan 3216 and Orbirotor heads, you can pick better than hand-harvested quality fruit.

Picking Systems: For the Korvan 3200 series, Korvan offers their standard Soft-Touch bow rod heads, with the option of hydraulically adjustable bow rod placement. This system is the answer if you have numerous trellis systems. You can hydraulically adjust the tilt of the picking unit--picking vertical trellis to T-trellis, GDC and back. The heads can be manually moved in and out 34-44 inches in the vertical position, the tops can hydraulically spread up to 61 inches (up to 20º) for GDC.

Wider Picking Tunnel: The Korvan 3200 series features the Korvan 3216 (16 inch buckets) and the Korvan 3209 (9 inch buckets). Both harvesters can pick 42” cross arms, and the Korvan 3216 with Orbirotor heads can pick up to 36” cross arms. When harvesting 42” cross arms, the 3216 requires 10 foot row spacings, while the 3209 can fit into 9 foot row spacing.

Anti-M.O.G. Cleaning System: Korvan offers the best cleaning system available on the market today. Three extraction fans are positioned above drop zones to thoroughly remove M.O.G. These fans set the industry standard for clean fruit, allowing Korvan to pick the fruit winemakers love.
